Birthline recognize that choices made regarding an unplanned pregnancy can have a lifelong effect on all of those involved. As a result, our peer counselors offer support and referrals to assist them in their decisions. These decisions will benefit not only the parents but the child as well.
Birthline of San Diego has been in existence for over 36 years and is operated completely by volunteers, there is no paid staff.. We serve over 2600 families a year in two locations, one in Clairemont and Chula Vista.
Birthline offers assistance in accessing most San Diego County programs, Medical and mental health, Public Health Nursing, homeless alternatives and housing programs, domestic violence safe housing, drug and alcohol recovery programs.
Birthline is supportive of all Public Health recommendations for Safe Sleep for Infants. The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) campaign provides education about safe sleep practices in an effort to reduce infant deaths. This includes: placing baby on her/his back in their own bed, free of pillows, bedding, toys and on a firm mattress. Infants should not co-sleep with parents and should be dressed in light clothing or sleep sacks.
Donate Money! Any amount will have an impact.
